CCI team participates in DARPA SDR Hackfest
A group of of Viterbi CCI researchers consisting of Ph.D. students Kwame Wright, Pradipta Ghosh, and Professor Bhaskar Krishnamachari teamed up with a group from UC Irvine consisting of Ph.D. students Sabur Baidya and Davide Callegaro and Professor Marco Levorato to participate as one of eight teams invited from around the country to participate in the DARPA Software Defined Radio Hackfest challenge from November 13-17, 2017 at NASA Ames Research Center in the Bay Area. Working over the course of five intense days on-site, the team, called DeepEdge, demonstrated a flexible control and computation offloading framework over communication and compute-limited environments. The final demo was showcased to a panel of five DARPA program managers at the NASA UAV Autonomy Research Complex (NUARC) Indoor Flight Test Facility.
